HOW TO PLAY

Desktop/PCVR

To play VRChat on Desktop/PCVR, you need to launch the Steam version of VRChat.
This guide will explain how to create a Steam account and install the Steam client, followed by instructions for installing VRChat.

STEP 1

Create a Steam account - Enter your email address

Go to the Steam account creation page from the link below.
https://store.steampowered.com/join/

Enter your email address twice.
Check the 2 boxes below.
Click continue.

STEP 2

Create a Steam account - Verify your email address

You should receive an email from Steam. Click on “verify my email address.”
Now, go back to the previous account creation page.

STEP 3

Create a Steam account - Fill in credentials

Fill in the required fields to create your account.

Choose an account name.
Choose a password.
Confrim password.
Click Done.

STEP 4

Install and Launch Steam

Go to the Steam home page and click the “Install Steam” button to begin downloading the installer.
Once the installer download is finished, launch “SteamSetUp.exe”
Steam will launch once the install is finished.
When Steam launches, enter your Steam account and password you have created in the previous step to log in.

STEP 5

Create a VRChat account

You will need to create a VRChat account to play VRChat.
Go to the following link:
https://vrchat.com/home/register

You should come to a page like the following image. Please enter the required information.
Once you confirm all the information is correct, click “Create Account.”
You should receive an email to the email address you entered. Click the “Click here to confirm your e-mail address!” to verify your email.

STEP 6

Install VRChat

Click on “Store” located on the top left of the Steam home.
Search for “VRChat” on the search bar located on the upper right, then click on “VRChat.”
Scroll to find the “Play Game” button and click on it.
A screen will appear asking you to select the installation destination. Verify the destination and click "Install."
Agree to the The End User License Agreement (EULA) to start the install.
Once the install is complete, VRChat will be added to your Library.

STEP 7

Launch VRChat

Select VRChat from the Library, and click Play.
Click on VRChat at the following screen.
Enter your username and password to log in.

STEP 8

Enter OKIVFES - Search the World

After logging in, press the Esc key on your keyboard to opne the menu. Select “Worlds.”
Select the “Search Worlds” on the upper left.
In the expanded window, type 'OKIVFES' and press '▶' to search for the world.

STEP 9

Enter OKIVFES - Join the World

Click on either of the OKIVFES worlds shown.
Click “Join” to enter the world.
